DoDrop ALPHA FAQ
Each trailer’s tongue weight will vary depending on the options it has. A consistent average for the DDA on the tongue is about 140-170lbs.
The DoDrop ALPHA Base model, without add-ons, starts at $13,250. If you throw everything at it, you can pretty much double the starting price.
While most people pick up their finished trailers in person, they can be shipped too. Clients arrange their own shipping. Most use www.uship.com, which makes it very easy to set up.

47 inches wide
38 inches high
78 inches long
None of our current models are equipped with a bathroom. We’ve found it to be more functional and effective to keep a good deployable toilet-tent nearby.
Showers however are something we DO equip our models with. All of our Deluxe Packages include a 7-gallon Road Shower from Yakima. A very reliable, pressurized, aluminum bodied, heat-sensitive water source. Take a shower with warm water, spray off your dishes, and stay refreshed. It’s an easy way to make things even easier.

- 138 inches long
The DDA will sleep 2 adults comfortably. What we recommend for small families is to go with the Standard Roof Rack option with a roof top tent. We currently carry both CVT and iKamper tents. When a roof top tent is equipped onto a DDA roof rack, it functions wonderfully for a small family.
It’s the overland version of a tree house that you can bring camping. Pretty great.
Each trailer will vary in weight, depending on the options it has, but the dry GTW of a DoDrop ALPHA model is near 900-1000lbs.
Currently, we don’t install any solar panels onto the bodies of our trailers. We think it’s more functional for the user to have a portable solar panel on hand that can be moved easily and track the sun. You can keep your trailer in the shade and keep your solar panel in the sun much easier than always repositioning your trailer. It’s a more affordable and functional way of doing things.
If you’ve elected to have electric brakes installed on your trailer, you would indeed need 2 things to get them working properly;
– A Brake Controller (**This is installed into the tow vehicle**) (***This is not something we do. You will need to speak with a brake specialist***)
– A 7-blade Tow Connector. (***This is required to send power to the brakes and the reverse lights. Speak with your mechanic about installing a 7-blade tow connection if you do not currently have one and would like electric brakes on your trailer. It is required for the brakes to work.***)
We currently do not offer in-house financing. A personal or vehicle loan through your bank or another lender would be your best bet.
We always ask for 45% down to begin building your trailer. At the end, usually during the pickup, or before the delivery, we require the remaining 55% to release the trailer.
Each trailer will vary a bit depending on its attachments and accessories, but a close average for the DDA is near 1200lbs.
Each trailer will vary a bit depending on its attachments and accessories. But our DDA has an average tongue weight of about 145lbs.

Before you arrive for your pick-up, ensure that your vehicle has the right connection for the model you’ve booked. Otherwise, the lights and or brakes will not operate, and we legally cannot allow for trailers to leave our shop without a legal tow connection or without the signal lights operating. It is the responsibility of the renter to make sure that your tow connection will work with our trailers.
Currently, we operate all pick-up and drop-offs out of our main shop in West Eugene, off 11th Ave.
4091 West 11th Ave, Unit J. Eugene, Oregon. 97402
Unfortunately at this time Oregon Trail’R does not allow for pets to be inside any of our trailer models. We will accommodate for service animals ONLY, on a case by case basis.
We ask that you contact Oregon Trailer LLC first before proceeding. If you cannot do this, due to poor service or a dead phone battery, you may replace the wheel with the spare provided. The flat/damaged wheel must be stored / secured where the spare came from. Failure to return the flat/damaged wheel/tire will result in the full cost of replacing the damaged/flat wheel/tire. All charges from third-parties for changing the flat/damaged wheel/tire are the responsibility of the renter. See our full terms and conditions above for further clarification.
